I have spent the past 17 years working predominantly as a Hair and Makeup Artist in all aspects of this creative field. I have been committed to continually learning my art form from the age of 18. Through many opportunities and a lot of hard work I managed to forge myself a career that I love and one that is constantly rewarding. Everything from making up the faces of international stars, designing and leading teams in major fashion events, working on advertising for big corporations all the way to hair and makeup for that private clients’ special day. My work has covered a wide variety of industries and broadened my knowledge and people skills along the way.

Through this vast experience I have welcomed guidance from my peers and sought out every opportunity to further myself in areas that I felt passionate about. I can honestly say that no university degree could have taught me all that my life experience has given me thus far. I have broad knowledge in areas of production and co-ordinating events, and in 2004 I directed and produced my own short film, which has been shown in 2 festivals since. I’m confident when it comes to speaking to large numbers of people and my experience varies in this area, which I’m sure 13 years as a ballet dancer had something to do with.

In 2000 I was given the opportunity to work on a very special book. It’s called EXPOSURE. A photographic and poetic collection of more than 30 women who had suffered or were dying of cancer. Over many days I saw a whole lot more to beauty than I had before in my whole career, as I did their hair and makeup, or wig, or no hair at all. This experience propelled me into further developing my career. After the book was released I was invited to write for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation website. I offer advice on many self healing modalities for women who have undergone chemotherapy/radiation therapy, in a section called ‘Look good Feel good’. www.ocrf.com.au .

I have always leaned towards healing and medicine and exposed myself to different forms of this regularly. The past 5 years I have studied aspects of eating disorders, depression and mental illness. Working in the Fashion world for 10 years also taught me how to live with society’s misguiding pressures.

My efforts have extended to the lives of many young women since that time and now I am continuing to further my career as a Makeup Artist and Educator. I am truly interested in emerging the inner voice of many young women. I am aware that women are indeed submerged in an image conscious society and in so many ways this is a widening phenomenon. It can be damaging and rewarding. I understand that with my experience and high moral beliefs that what I offer to this society and community is a chance to deeply find the true inner self, through the channel of self image and beauty. By creating and developing a series of workshops I offer selected advice to women of every age group.

I have a range of courses available where women can learn fundamental rules of makeup application, to more extensive workshops where we go much further than what is on the surface. This brings together education in makeup, skincare, hair care and styling, health and fitness, nutrition, positive body image, self respect and self esteem, posture and presence. We look further into the world of beauty and all its faces. Women of all ages can benefit from workshops like this, they are a perfect forum for females to be bonded together and share a common thread. School age Women are particularly vulnerable to social pressures and benefit from these workshops in a school environment. Curriculum co-ordinators can contact me for further information.

We have a special bond with beauty and feel it is important to see ourselves as beautiful and despite the current trends of social beauty, we do know the truth... ‘That real beauty is inherent and is present within every one of us’.

I have pursued my journey in so many areas of work over the years and accumulated a wealth of knowledge by doing so. I believe that what I offer is perfect for all women and embraces equally all aspects of Womanhood and Self empowerment. I look forward to receiving any enquiry’s regarding my services.
